Aims and Objectives
The programme aims at providing an interdisciplinary grounding for students to explore the dynamics and synergies of creative industries and cultural assets. Students will gain exposure to the concepts, ideas and practices of the fields, and come to develop a critical and integrated understanding of the key forces shaping the creative and cultural vitality of a place. As a result, students will be inspired of far-reaching visions for the wellbeing and development of the public’s cultural life, and be motivated to execute their visions.
Programme Intended Learning Outcomes (PILOs)
On successful completion of the programme, students should be able to:
(a) | Critically review the nature, characteristics, contemporary issues and connections of creative industries and cultural assets; |
(b) | Integrate appropriate concepts, theories, research methods and critical perspectives to examine the contexts for the development of creative industries and cultural assets; |
(c) | Apply the knowledge, skills and techniques for problem-solving in the professional settings of creative industries and cultural assets; and |
(d) | Conduct strategic planning for a cultural project in the field of creative industries and cultural assets. |

Graduates will be equipped to meet the complex needs in the creative economy at large, particularly in a range of sectors and institutions in the arts and culture, heritage, and creative industries, including but not limited to broadcasting, film and television, animation, digital entertainment, digital art, arts administration, museum and gallery, heritage sites, cultural festivals, policy and consultancy, and research and teaching. Career opportunities are available in the public sector, private art groups, non-profit cultural organizations, and educational organizations.

Admission Requirements
Students admitted to the programme should have:
- A recognized Bachelor’s degree;
- Proficiency in Chinese and English. Applicants’ English language proficiency should meet the University’s admission requirements on English proficiency.
- Any other equivalent qualifications and relevant professional experience will be considered.
Applicants are required to attend an admission interview and/or written test
