Department of Creative Arts Animation and Visual Effects graduates receive Gold Award at ifva

A group of three graduates from the 2018 Animation and Visual Effects programme scooped the Gold Award in the Animation Category at this year's ifva Awards with their final year project. Their award-winning animated short film Kin's Hair depicts the collective memories and cultural identity of Hong Kong people in the post-handover era through the hair loss story of an ordinary man named Kin.

The film was also shortlisted for the “Best Animated Short Film” at the 55th Golden Horse Awards and won the “Next Generation Award (Asia Region)” at the 20th DigiCon6 Asia.
